Can minors receive vaccinations in Idaho without parental consent?

Yes. Minors of any age in Idaho can consent to vaccinations without parental consent under the "mature minor doctrine." You can talk to a doctor/healthcare provider and if they deem that you are "mature" enough to understand and make your decisions, you can get the vaccine (Idaho Code § 39‐4503).

This is for both COVID-19 and routine vaccinations. The healthcare provider can determine if the minor is mature enough to make the determination to receive vaccines.

How to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Idaho?

To schedule an appointment for the COVID vaccine, look up the pharmacies from https://covidvaccine.idaho.gov/. Contact the clinics ahead to know which documents you need to take. You should take your identification card and your insurance card and be sure to wear a mask. If you’re getting a two-dose vaccine, bring your vaccination card to your second appointment.
