Can minors receive vaccinations in Louisiana without parental consent?
For non-COVID-19 vaccines, minors in Louisiana *may* not need parental consent for certain vaccinations since under the "mature minor doctrine" a minor "who is or believes himself to be afflicted with an illness or disease" can seek treatment. However, the law does not explicitly allow for vaccinations (Source: LA. RS § 40:1079.1).
For COVID-19 vaccines, parental consent is required. Call your county health department and let them know about your situation.
