November 19, 2020

We would like to thank all the participants and supporters of the Teens for Vaccines team during the virtual 5K-Run To Save Lives! Because of you, your team raised the equivalent of 392 pentavalent vaccines for children and infants residing in Venezuela.

Total contributions from this event, along with support from our ongoing donors, means that 50,000 pentavalent vaccines will be delivered to Venezuela. The vaccines are scheduled to be shipped in late December, with an arrival date of early January 2021.

On behalf of the children who will benefit from your kindness and the parents who will be comforted knowing that their children are now protected from these five life-threatening diseases, thank you for being a Vaccine Ambassador!

About Vaccine Ambassadors

Established in 2015, Vaccine Ambassadors is a 501(c)(3) NC-based nonprofit corporation that was created by healthcare providers and advocates of children’s health who believe that opportunity begins with good health and that access to vaccines is a basic human right.

Through strategic partnerships with established global health organizations, including the Pan American Health Organization, Regional Office of the World Health Organization for the Americas, Vaccine Ambassadors funds the purchase and delivery of high-quality vaccines and related supplies and services for children and families in Latin America and the Caribbean.

To maximize impact, vaccine selection is based on priority needs identified by in-country public health experts. To date, Vaccine Ambassadors has provided over 700,000 vaccines, covering 12 diseases. In addition to strengthening routine vaccination programs, they have provided vaccines following natural disasters and during humanitarian crises.
