Another example is when certain states have codified laws for "mature minor doctrine" where if a medical professional deems that the minor is mature to understand the risk v. benefits, the minor can receive vaccines without parental consent, however, not all these states allow for COVID vaccine to be covered under the mature minor doctrine and have explicit overriding statutes requiring parental consent for COVID vaccine.
