Can minors receive vaccinations in Nevada without parental consent?

A minor in Nevada can consent to vaccinations by a local or state health officer, board of health, licensed physician or hospital if the minor (1) has been living apart from his or her parents or legal guardian for at least 4 months; (2) is married or has been married; (3) is a mother, or has borne a child; or (4) is in danger of suffering a serious health hazard if health care services are not provided. The minor must understand the nature and purpose of the proposed examination or treatment and its probable outcome, and voluntarily requests it (Nev. Rev. Stat. §129.030). Additionally, AB 197 is a proposed bill to include minors who are fathers, among other amendments.

All other minors must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian.
