Can minors receive vaccinations in Tennessee without parental consent?
Minors in Tennessee, ages 14 years and above can consent to all vaccinations, if a doctor or healthcare provider agrees that the minor is a "mature minor," capable of making their own health care decisions (TN Mature Minor Doctrine).
As always, we recommend our guide to convincing vaccine-hesitant parents. You can also reach out to Immunize Tennessee, a coalition of parents and vaccine advocates, who can offer local support for convincing your parents. But if you are not able to convince, talk to a doctor.
