Excerpt: The goal of these organizations, such as Teens For Vaccines, is to help tweens and teens find non-confrontational ways to discuss [with parents] why getting the COVID vaccination is important to them by providing resources for kids to cite on the website. The hope is that minimally, this is successful so that even if parents still do not want to vaccinate themselves, they will not stop their kids from getting the vaccine. Or better still, vaccine-hesitant parents would get the vaccine as well.
If talking to parents does not change their minds about vaccinations, there are also links on the website to inform kids as to what their consent laws are by state.
The organization and others like it do not exist to help kids receive vaccines illegally. Instead, the goal is to inform all parties involved in the situation what can and cannot be done based on age.
